Freezer Pizza Sauce

This is another great recipe from my mom. Her recipes are so good she even has her own label & sidebar link to her recipes - "Sylvia". This pizza sauce is so much more delicious than any store bought pizza sauce in a jar. It's also way cheaper than any store bought pizza sauce in a jar, which I love. It's easy to make & just as easy to store in the freezer in little containers & then defrost to enjoy later. I usually make a double batch!

Caution: The cook should wear an apron when boiling the sauce because it tends to splatter!

1 28oz can crushed tomatoes
1 6oz can tomato paste
1 tsp basil
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
dash pepper

In a large sauce pan combine all ingredients & bring to a boil (careful, it splatters!), stirring often. Reduce & simmer 45 minutes. Allow to cool. Freeze in small containers.
